~ 1 hour and 30 minutes
In this still life I learned a lot about rendering drapery. and the glossy cylinder with different local colors and textures was quite challenging as well.
Thinking about the lightsource and how the light is reflecting in the glass as well as observing the bounce light reflected back to the paper was interesting on this one.
If you know, what you have to look for, when rendering glossy cylinders, a still life like this is not that hard to tackle. ~ 1 hour and 30 minutes
To emulate the aluminium feel is quite easy with noise and motion blur. The reflection on the black plastic added a lot of realism to this one.
For this one I had to use my magnifying glass :-)
observing the reflections on the different glossy surfaces was great fun :-)
rendering glossy surfaces involve a lot of perspective. Sadly mine is a bit off.
This study showed me how to think about traces of usage
wonderful color :)
A nice evening with my sketchbook and a magnifying glass.
Tried some dark key with really low light here. Only the light of my display reflects off of the metal bracket.
Had a lot of fun with the reflections on this one.
A quick still life that I took my magnifying glass out for, once again.
Rendering the velvet cloth with a rough texture brush in this one was quite fun.
In this study I paid attention to the colors in the sky. And the value changes and texture of the waterfall.
Studie zu reflectiver Oberfläche
Here I piad close attention to the desaturated colors under the water and to brush efficiency
In this study I concentrated on remembering the gradients in the clouds which go from saturated white orange towards yellow, the same time when it gets brighter. This gives th effect of an intense glow.
Tree study mostly based on bonzai trees
A fast study that I did when I had to implement a dragon into a scene, which wasn't really my strength.

Bugs
Mostly based upon content of the book "The Art Of Animal Drawing" by Ken Hultgren.
I didn't really get into the flow with this one. Next time I am going to give myself a more specific restriction than architecture :)
In this study I tried to get all the elements of the eye into my head. Also I tried to get an overview of the head.
In this study I took a close look at the superficial back muscles and their origins and insertions
I find it quite practical to know about the muscles and bones of the body rather than guessing. This saves a lot of time later on.
